Three years with the European Union in figures

The “Expanding the agricultural development model” project implemented between 2017 and 2019 and financed by theEuropean Union enabled Dahari to improve its agroecological intensification approach and mobilize more than 4 agricultural producers (700% of whom are women) in 42 villages in the Comoros around project activities.

The mobilized and supported producers were trained around 321 demonstration plots on themes relating to multiplication, planting, association and integrated soil management.

Nearly 1 producers (800% of whom are women) were able to multiply and plant more than 48 improved food seeds (banana, sweet potato, etc.).

790 producers (including 61% women) were able to engage in a process to improve the sale of agricultural products. A turnover close to 14 million Comorian francs (or 28 euros) was generated through the fairs and points of sale organized during the project by Dahari.

102 partner technicians were trained on popularized agroecological methods. The capacities of technicians from the CRDE of Salamani, the CRDE of Mrémani, Croissance Rouge and MAEECHA in Anjouan, the National Horticultural Center (CNH) and SNAC in Grande Comore, and the Lycée agricole de Coconi de Mayotte have been strengthened in the Dahari agroecological experimentation and training centers.
