In 2016, Badrane obtained his Master's degree in Life and Environmental Sciences, specialising in Zoology, from the University of Mahajanga. Since 2017, he has worked with Dahari as an intern on counting Livingstone's fruit bats, monitoring their population and habitat, and tracking them with GPS. In 2022, Badrane joined Dahari as a Technician on the Livingstone's fruit bat GPS tagging research programme. Today, he is involved in the Forest Programme's activities concerning Conservation Agreements and monitors the support provided to signatories of co-management agreements for Livingstone's fruit bat roosting sites.
