Technical Director // Since 2008

He already joined the NGO in 2008, but devoted himself to develop his skills ever since. After a Master’s degree in Natural and Environmental Resource Management at Tamatave University, he joined the ECDD project as a facilitator. A task that led him to support communities in achieving their goals, and later becoming the island coordinator of the ECDD project. His field knowledge and skills more than qualified him to take the newly established position as Acting Executive Director of Dahari in 2012. In 2013, he received a capacity-building grant from the Darwin Initiative of the UK Government. For one year, he took courses in conservation and sustainable development in England, France and Madagascar. He returned to Anjouan in 2014 to assume the position of Technical Director in the NGO. Misbahou is the main responsible for our programmes in forest management and species conservation.
