The third fishing closing ceremony was organized this Thursday, November 12 at the Vassy college in the presence of around a hundred fishermen.

As in each edition since 2018, the local associations Maecha Bora, Malezi Mema and Fikira Ndjema are organizing these closures with the technical support of Dahari and Blue Ventures in order to allow the octopuses to regenerate and prosper.

The local authorities and associations have recorded this new edition by affixing their signature to a document committing all parties to respect these rules which the population of the villages of the plateau welcomes with enthusiasm because they have already proven to be very effective. The Governorate of Anjouan, the mayor of Vouani, the gendarmes of Pomoni and Sima as well as the Anjouan fishermen's union also participated in the festivities.
